A worker punctured a PEX tube for my under-floor heating that's already been installed, and the slab has already been cast. Can it be repaired without demolishing?

UIt can be repaired, thanks to the many fittings available from COMAP. Follow these steps:

  • Cut into the slab at the location of the leak
  • Isolate the affected section of the system
  • Install a non-detachable sleeve (slip or press-fit) and cover it with adhesive insulating tape in order to avoid direct contact with the concrete cover
  • Fill the hole in the slab.

Remember to note the location of the repair on a diagram.
